Frequently asked

Common questions

Who can join SCMBA?

Any family in the Sunshine Coast region who is expecting, has recently welcomed, or is raising twins, triplets or higher-order multiples. Single parents, blended, foster, adoptive and LGBTIQ+ families are all warmly welcome.

How much does membership cost?

We keep membership deliberately affordable to remain accessible to all local families. Current annual fees and payment options are shared on our Get Involved page and confirmed on application.

Where is playgroup held?

Playgroup runs weekly during Queensland school terms in Buderim. Exact venue details are shared with members upon joining to help us maintain a safe, private environment for families.

Can I come to playgroup before my babies are born?

Absolutely — expectant parents of multiples are warmly encouraged to visit. Meeting families ahead of time is one of the best forms of preparation.

Is SCMBA a registered charity?

Yes. We are an incorporated association registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Our ABN is 13 025 603 530.

Are donations tax-deductible?

SCMBA is a registered charity; however, our current ACNC endorsements determine deductibility. Please contact us before making a large donation so we can share the most current information.

Do you offer support outside the Sunshine Coast?

Our in-person programs are Sunshine Coast based. For other regions, please visit the Australian Multiple Birth Association (AMBA) to find your nearest club.

Have a question we haven’t answered?

Send us a message — a real committee member (and parent of multiples) will reply.
