Help that shows up week after week.

Four programs, one promise: practical, judgement-free support from people who truly get multiples life. Everything below is included with membership — and expectant parents are welcome before the babies even arrive.

The weekly anchor

SCMBA Playgroup

Our longest-running and most-loved program: a relaxed, regular playgroup where little ones play and parents connect over a cuppa. No agendas, no judgment about matching socks.

  • Safe, pram-friendly spaces chosen with two-babies-one-parent logistics in mind
  • A friendly room to swap tips on feeding, sleeping and surviving the week
  • Siblings always welcome — the more, the merrier
  • Run by member parents who remember their own first visit

Expectant-Parent Sessions

Found out it's twins (or more)? These information sessions are practical, reassuring and led by families who have been exactly where you are.

  • Feeding two (or three) — real techniques from real parents
  • Sleep logistics, safe settling and surviving the early months
  • What gear you actually need — and what to skip
  • Hospital, the early weeks and asking for help without guilt

Education Events

Guest-led events covering the topics that matter most to multiples families — with best-practice, multiples-specific advice you won't find in generic parenting books.

  • Nutrition for multiples — from first solids to fussy phases
  • Sleep science for synchronised (and very unsynchronised) babies
  • Behaviour, individuality and nurturing each child's identity
  • Development milestones — what "normal" looks like for twins

Social Events

Family days out and parents-only catch-ups through the year — because the friendships you build here are often the ones that last long after the prams are packed away.

  • Family beach days, picnics and park mornings
  • Parents-only dinners and coffee catch-ups (yes, you deserve one)
  • Seasonal celebrations the kids talk about for weeks
  • Every event designed so multiples families can actually attend

Ready when you are

Your first visit is this easy.

  1. Say hello

Email info@scmba.org.au with your kids' ages and your area. A real parent will write back with times, venues and what to bring (spoiler: just yourselves).

  2. Come along

Turn up to a playgroup or session — no membership needed for your first visit. The kids play, you breathe, someone hands you a cuppa.

  3. Join the family

If it feels like home — and it usually does — membership unlocks everything, all year, for one modest annual fee.
