You're not doing this alone — not even close.
Since 1982, the Sunshine Coast Multiple Birth Association has wrapped local families of twins, triplets and higher-order multiples in education, friendship and social inclusion — from the very first surprise scan onwards.
Two of everything — including support.
One baby changes everything. Two (or three!) arriving together changes everything at once — the feeding schedules, the sleep maths, the double pram logistics nobody warns you about.
That's where we come in. SCMBA is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit association of local multiple-birth families who have been exactly where you are — and who show up for each other, week after week, across the Sunshine and Cooloola coasts.

Support for every stage of the journey.
From the first scan to the first day of school — practical help, real friendships and people who get it.

SCMBA Playgroup
Relaxed, regular playgroups where little ones play and parents connect over a cuppa — a friendly space to swap tips and feel understood.

Expectant-Parent Sessions
Practical, reassuring information sessions led by families who have been exactly where you are right now.

Education Events
Guest-led events on the topics that matter most — nutrition, sleep, behaviour and development — with multiples-specific advice.

Social Events
Family days out and parents-only catch-ups — because the friendships you build here often outlast the prams.

Two heartbeats. One deep breath.
If the sonographer just pointed at the screen and said "there are two" — congratulations, and breathe. Thousands of local parents have sat in that exact chair, feeling exactly what you're feeling.
Our expectant-parent sessions pair you with families a few steps ahead: feeding two at once, sleeping (eventually), what gear you actually need, and how to ask for help without guilt.
“The best part of having twins wasn't the twins — it was finding the people who understood.”An SCMBA parent, Sunshine Coast
